Iñaki Godoy Biography

Iñaki Godoy Jasso (August 25, 2003) is a film and television actor born in Mexico City, Mexico. He is renowned for his spectacular portrayal of Monkey D. Luffy in the live-action adaptation of “One Piece”.

Early years

Iñaki Godoy is a Mexican actor, the son of Germán Godoy and Pamela Jasso. He has a younger sister named Mia, whom he considers his best friend.

From a young age, his mother, Pamela, sought to nurture his development by enrolling him in various sports disciplines, including soccer, basketball, tennis, and golf. Although Iñaki did not display outstanding prowess in the sports arena, Pamela soon recognized his innate talent in a completely different field. It was thus that, at the tender age of four, Iñaki was enrolled in the renowned children’s musical theater school called “Stage Company” at the Libanés Theater.

Beginnings

At this prestigious school, Godoy showcased his talent in a series of theatrical productions, but it was his outstanding performance in “Alice in Wonderland” that truly propelled him into the public eye. Taking on the challenging role of the Cheshire Cat, his interpretation captivated the audience and garnered praise, sparking a passionate interest in acting within him. It was in this particular production that he first experienced the thrill of improvisation on stage, a moment that marked a significant milestone in his artistic career.

At the age of 9, Iñaki expressed his desire to pursue a career in acting to his mother. This experience filled Iñaki with excitement and solidified his determination to pursue his path as an actor.

Afterward, Godoy continued his quest through auditions while honing his skills at Stage Company.
