Her real name is Marion Anne Perrine Le Pen, but she is better known worldwide as “Marine Le Pen.” She was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France on August 5, 1968. She is a lawyer and politician, president of the National Front, and she has been a candidate for this party in the presidential elections of 2012 and 2017. She is the daughter of the former president of the National Front: Jean-Marie Le Pen.

Marine, is the youngest of the three daughters of Pierrette Lalanne and Jean-Marie Le Pen, who, as already mentioned, was president of the National Front party between 1972 and 2011.

Le Pen made her first studies at the Florent Schmitt school in Saint-Cloud, and later she went on to study law at one of the universities owned by the Sorbonne: the Panthéon-Assas University. During her university years, she became part of the National Student Circle of Paris (CNEP), a student movement close to the National Front, where she served for a time as Honorary President and is said to be a neo-fascist youth organization.

She is the mother of three children, married to Frank Chauffroy, a company director who had worked for the National Front, but later remarried with Éric Lorio, a former National Secretary of the FN and former Regional Councilor of Nord-Pas de-Calais, of which she is also currently divorced. His new partner is Louis Aliot, the Vice President of the FN and General Secretary of the party from 2005 to 2010.

Within her political life, it is worth knowing that since she was 18 she is part of her father’s Party, even offering legal advice initially.

Since 2004 she is also a member of the European Parliament.

There are two transcendental facts in her life that defined her right-wing orientation. The first was the attack that took place on November 2, 1976, at her residence, in which there was a strong explosion of a load of five kilograms of dynamite. The second was when her father: Jean-Marie Le Pen, decided to enroll her in a public school to fight, from a very young age, against the communists and the Arabs.

As for her personal life, it is also possible to highlight the fact that only after ten years she returned to resume communication with her mother (her father’s first wife) since she did not accept the fact that she had fled with another man and also had undressed in an edition of Playboy magazine.

Returning to his political career, it should be noted that she has been carried out mainly in the French provinces. Which is relevant because they are areas that have been most affected by the relocation of French industry.

Among the proposals that Le Pen has postulated, there is the restriction on immigration, since according to her it is conceived, in this way national borders would be restored and foreigners in a situation of illegality could not be regularized. Also, a referendum for the French to choose between the real-life imprisonment, that is, free of any possible annulment and the death penalty, with the aim of restoring a gradation of the penalties in the judicial system. Added to this, is against the existence of the IMF, the World Bank, and the WTO, for being a “hell machine at the service of ultraliberal ideology.”

During 2012, the renowned singer Madonna used a video with the song “Nobody Knows Me” as an interlude that showed several figures and social issues, where Marine Le Pen with a swastika-adorned her forehead, and then the image of Hitler.

Thus, in July 2012, Madonna took her MDNA Tour to France, where she was not afraid to show the video again, despite being warned and threatened by Le Pen herself, who, in her defense, argued that it was understandable that some singers they become old and lose their talent, they must make them talk about them in any way.

Finally, Madonna edited the video, replacing the swastika on Le Pen’s forehead with a question mark.

It should be noted that the father of Marine Le Pen tried to enlist in the Antifascist Resistance in France when he was only 16 years old, but since he was very young, he was immediately rejected by the latter.

A year later, the European Parliament voted to have parliamentary immunity withdrawn as part of a judicial inquiry into possible incitement to hatred.
