Lauren Daigle (September 9, 1991) singer and composer of Christian music. She was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, United States. Her first musical influences came from zydeco, blues, and Cajun music. From an early age, she became interested in singing. She had to be out of school for several months after contracting infectious mononucleosis, so she devoted herself completely to singing. After finishing her studies, she did missionary work in Brazil and then entered Louisiana State University for the Study of Children and Families.
Daigle to part of the LSU choir. She was introduced to American Idol in 2010 and 2012. Her performance was discreet and not very remarkable. However, she continued her desire to progress in music. She debuted with North Point InsideOut: she recorded Close and You Alone live. She later appeared on the album North Point Beginnings of North Point Music (2015). She made a collaboration with The Assembly; the local band was very successful in sales at the US iTunes store. In one event, she sang Jason Gray’s single entitled Nothing is wasted.
Her first single, called Light of the World, for part of the album Christmas: Joy To The World, brought together the Christmas-related themes of several Centricity artists. It was at that moment when she began to travel the Christian music scene. Subsequently, she participated in the autumn tour Morning Rises with Aaron Shust and Mikeschair. How Can It Be, was released on April 14, 2015. Fortunately, it entered the Top 20 on the Billboard Top Albums Chart for all genres. In addition, iTunes was very popular among the best Christian songs. For seven weeks a song of its authorship (Christian Airplay Chart) ranked number 1 on the Billboard. She won the cult song of the year, for her single How Can It Be at the K-Love Awards. The album that contains this theme was nominated in 2016 for the Grammy Award for Best Album of Contemporary Christian Music. In the future, she won the Paloma Awards 2015, the award for Female Artist of the Year at the K-Love Fan Awards on two occasions.
On October 21, 2016, the singer launched Behold: A Christmas Collection, a Christmas album.
Daigle participated in Outcry Tour along with Hillsong United. Then she was part of the Winter Jam Tour 2016 in the central and eastern parts of the United States. Daigle put forward her first tour: A Night with Lauren Daigle, the whole ticket office sold out. In 2017, she appeared in the song “Hard Love” by Needtobreathe. Recently, she won two Grammy Awards for best performance of the song You Say and Look up child.
