Cristiano Ronaldo Dos Santos Aveiro is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a striker and is considered one of the best strikers in the world. He was born in Funchal, Madeira, Portugal on February 5, 1985, and is the son of María Dolores dos Santos Aveiro and José Dinis Aveiro. Since he was a child he always showed his good performance in football and stood out for his skill with the ball.
His beginnings were at the age of 8 when he entered La Andorinha academy and where he quickly began to excel above the peers of his age. So much was the quality that Cristiano showed, that at the age of 10, the C. S. Marítimo and C. D. Nacional showed interest in having the young player. After an agreement was reached, the player signed for C. D. Nacional, where he continued with his training as a footballer and became one of the greatest promises of Portuguese football.
In 2001, he was presented to try out at the Sporting Clube de Portugal, where he performed very well and managed to be part of one of the most popular clubs in Portugal, so he had to move to Lisbon. Cristiano Ronaldo’s professional debut came on August 14, 2002, at the age of 17, in the Champions League qualifying match, where Sporting de Lisboa faced Inter Milan.
