Niall James Horan, an Irish singer, and composer, known in the world of music for being one of the members of the band One Direction. He was born on September 13, 1993, in Mullingar, Ireland, and is the son of Bobby Horan and Maura Gallagher. His parents divorced when he was 5 years old, so he and his brother spent time divided into each other’s home until a few years later they finally stayed with their father.
He studied at St Kenny National School and high school at Coláiste Mhuire Catholic School. Niall Horan began playing the guitar and showing interest in music, after his family gave him one at Christmas, considered for him, as the best gift he has received. His aunt discovered his talent one day when he was with him and he began to sing and saw Niall’s excellent vocal ability.
Beginning in 2010, Niall Horan participated in the Academy 2 contest with the song “Baby” by Justin Bieber. Later, he auditioned in the casting of The X Factor with the song “So Sick” by Ne-Yo, which was performed in the city of Dublin. Regarding the audition, Simon Cowell told him: “You’re not as good as I thought you were, but I still like you” and Katy Perry voted in favor of the singer advancing to the next stage.
After the audition at The X Factor, the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Niall Horan be part of a group called One Direction along with Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson
For the year 2011, they released their first studio album entitled “Up All Night” which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, which made One Direction the first British group to debut with their first album at the number position 1. The single “What Makes You Beautiful” reached the first position in Ireland, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. Niall Horan and the rest of the band started the Up All Night Tour musical tour, with the aim of promoting their album, and they also released a DVD of the tour.
In November 2012, he released his album “Take Me Home” which was ranked number 1 in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, the United States, Ireland and New Zealand. The first two singles of this album, “Live While We’re Young” and “Little Things” were a total success in many stations of several countries. That same year they started their second Take Me Home Tour, performing concerts in 4 continents, in addition, part of the tour was recorded for his first documentary film called This is Us.
In the summer of 2013, the first One Direction film premiered at London’s Leicester Square, the film entitled ‘This Is Us’, is a documentary in which they themselves were responsible for explaining how his career had been for a dream.
Niall Horan has composed songs such as “Taken”, “Everything About You”, “Same Mistakes”, “Back for You” and “Summer Love” in his career with One Direction. In the month of November 2012, he was named the most popular One Direction member.
